Culinary Croatia with a Slice of Slovenia
I lived in Croatia for a year and have traveled about there many times over the past 35 years. My taste buds, nose, and stomach have been dedicated for decades to this very enjoyable research, and it has finally culminated in an organized gustatory extravaganza!
We launch our new and exclusive trip this autumn and I can hardly wait to introduce a small group of food and wine lovers to the fresh healthy cuisine, storied wines, and rich culinary traditions of this area.
Over time, there were many incursions and invasions of this land, with influences felt to this day, often uniting Mediterranean, Central European, and Eastern elements. It is uniquely Croatian cuisine now – in harmony with the climate of the region.
We will visit with sensational vintners who are producing amazing wines using new techniques and methods employed for thousands of years. We have arranged engagements with specific artisan cheese makers, truffle hunters, fishermen, gardeners and chefs to share their specialized skills and wisdom throughout this curated journey.
