Diplomatic Updates

We keep our ears to the ground for you!   All of us at Adventures Croatia communicate with our friends and colleagues in Croatia and the region, stay up-to-date on breaking news in the Balkans, study travel trends, research and visit properties (new and renovated hotels, villas and boats), source exciting authentic experiences for clients, and follow changes in transportation closely – new flight routes, ferry timetables, major road closures and bypasses.

Last month I had productive and encouraging meetings at The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Embassy of Montenegro in Washington D.C. They were each very interested in what trends we are seeing for American tourists making plans in the region. Tourism is an important aspect of their economies and an area they all hope to see activities and contributions expand.

Luxury and well appointed travelers are especially desired, as they support even more job formation in hotels, restaurants, museums, art galleries, shopping, and in transportation, entertainment, recreation and information.

I learned of new flights that will be starting in 2015, important infrastructure projects, some new hotel investments, and areas that haven’t participated much in tourism in the recent past now putting out the welcome mat for international visitors.

It is exciting to watch this expansion, and I can hardly wait to return to the region in a few months to check out more new experiences.  Stay tuned and benefit from Adventures Croatia’s acquired knowledge and our contagious passion for journeys in Croatia and the neighboring countries!
